Prof.Dr. Cengiz AÇIKEL

I graduated from GATA Medical Faculty with a high degree of success in 1988. After completing my residency training in GATA, Department of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1997, I was assigned to GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital. After serving as a specialist physician and assistant professor at the same hospital, I became an associate professor of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2005. Between 2002-2003, I worked as a research fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, USA. I retired in 2009 and started serving as a faculty member at the Medical School of Acıbadem University. In 2012, I was appointed as a professor on the permanent staff. I resigned from my faculty member position in 2014. I have been working in my own private clinic in Ataşehir, İstanbul – Turkey since that date. I am a member of the Turkish Society of Aesthetic, Plastic and  Reconstructive Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
